The Nicene Creed 

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, 
of all things visible and invisible. 
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, 
born of the Father before all ages, 
God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, 
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father, 
Through him all things were made. 
For us men and our salvation he came down from Heaven, 
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate, of the Virgin Mary 
and became man. 

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, 
He suffered death and was buried and rose again on the third day 
in accordance with the scriptures. 
He ascended in Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.  
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead 
and his kingdom will have no end. 
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,                     
who proceeds from the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, 
who has spoken through the prophets. 
I believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church. 
I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins 
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead 
and the life of the new world to come.

I adore you, my God, and I love you with all of my heart.  I thank you for having created me, for having made me a Christian, and for having perserve me this day.  Pardon me for the evil I have done today.  If I have done anything good , be pleased to accept it.  Protect me while I take rest and deliver me from all dangers.  May your grace be always with me. Amen.

Oh Lord, we pray you to visit this home and drive from it all the snares of the enemy.  Let Your Holy Angels dwell in it to preserve us in peace; and let your blessings be always upon us, through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Protect us, Lord, as we stay awake; watch over us as we sleep, that awake, we may keep watch with Christ, and asleep, rest in his peace. Amen.

Morning Prayer

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart Of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrafice of the Mass throughout the world, in repraration for my sins, for the intentions of all my relatives and friends, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father. Amen.


Financial Prayer 

Almighty God, Your love and care for us is not limited to our health and relationships.  You deeply are about our finances.  Lord, I pray that you would lead me along the path to a debt-free life style.  I pray that I will catch the vision and get motivated to acheive financial freedom.

Lord, I pray for a salary that is sufficient for me.  I pray that you would show me how to bring my finances into a healthy place.  I pray for future favor for new benefits and raises through my employment.

I pray for inspiration in the area of finances.  Lord, I pray that you will renew my mind so that I am willing and ready to manage my money the way you want it to be managed.

Lord, teach me how to earn extra income and how to be thrifty with my money I have.  Help me to hear your voice on what to buy and what not to buy during this difficult time.  Help me to become firm in this area of financial self control.

You tell me there is power in your word.  Thank you for drawing me toward passages in your Word about finances.  Remind me to read those money scriptures out loud and regularly.

Thank you for opening up the floodgates of opportunites and abundance.  By faith, I beleive that you are working to get me out of debt and into financial blessing.

Lord, I ask that you will use every part of my financial prayer to greatly bless me as I seek your help this day.

Prayers For Addiction

"Save me, O God, for the floodwaters are up to my neck.  Deeper and deeper I sink into mire; I can't find a foothold.  I am in deep water, and the floods overwhelm me."  Psalm 69:1-2

"O Lord, I have come to you for protection; don't let me be disgraced.  Save me and rescue me, for you do what is right.  Turn your ear to listen to me and set me free.  Be my rock of safety where I can always hide.  Give the order to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.  My God, rescue me from the power of the wicked, from the clutches of the cruel oppressors.  O Lord, you alone are my hope."  Psalm 71:5a

Prayer For Self Acceptance

Loving Father, Your word tells me that you love me. Your word tells me that you go before me and you follow me.
Your word tells me that you place your hand of blessing on my head.  Your word tells me that you accept me.
But I haven't accepted myself.  I rarely allow myself to receive compliments and encouragement.
I rarely see the best in me.  I often focus on my weaknesses.
I repeatedly replay my failures in my mind.  Father, teach me to give grace to myself. Amen.


Prayer For Strength

Awesome and Triumphant God, I give you exuberant praise this day, You are Lord of all, and you are worthy of my praise.  
You are the Most High God.  You are all powerful.  Thank you for the strength that you graciously give me.  Thank you that it is your will that I walk in your POWER this day.
Thank you that your Word declares that it is your will that I walk in power, love, and a sound mind this day.  Thank you that you show me how to speak out your scriptures, beleive in your truth, and display your will in my life.
Lord, I will trust in you.  I will be bold in your name.
I stand up and declare that I am strong in the Lord.  I am a triumphant follower of Jesus Christ.  I am more than able to show forth that the power of God is working for me this day.
Thank you, Lord, that you are giving me strength to choose your voice over the voice of the enemy or the voice of my flesh.  I want to obey you.
Thank you that you defeat confusion in my mind, discouragement in my heart, and weakness in my body.  Thank you that you are bringing refreshment and rejuvenation to my day.
I have faith that you are showing me with your love and mercy.  You are filling me with what I need.  You are teaching me how to love you and love others more fully.  You are guiding each of my steps.  I have faith that you are providing everything I need.  I will receive bountifully from you, and I will give you praise.
I declare that your inspiration, revelation, motivation, and determination are bringing transformation in my life.  Thank you for changing me to become more like you.  
Thank you that you have given me your secret armor.  Thank you that you are teaching me how to defeat the enemy.
Thank you that I was born to be the head and not the tail.
Thank you that you are bringing me victory!

Prayer For Spiritual Warfare

Father God, You are awe-inspiring.  You are magnificent and mighty.  Your name holds more authority than I can ever conceive.  You are stronger than I could ever dream.  You are wiser than I could comprehend.  You are more loving and compassionate than I could ever imagine.

You are God you are above all.  Thank you for the powerful armor that you give me.  I come this day to put on the Belt of Truth.  I acknowledge that I need truth.  I need to be dedicated to truth.  I need to follow the truth of your Word.

Lord, I need to make reading your Word a priority in my life.  If I sincerely open my mind to your Word, then I will see the truth about what I need to increase in my life and what I need to decrease in my life.  As I am praying this prayer, I realize that the enemy of my soul wants to condemn me for my failures.

I declare that I will not let the enemy condemn me for my lack of success, because you are pleased with me when I try.  You want me to learn to be content on doing my best.  You want me to love myself anyway, just as you do.

I put on the breastplate of righteousness.  I acknowledge that I am able to wear this breastplate because Jesus took my sin and gave me this righteousness.  Lord I will remind myself today of the enormous price Jesus paid so that I could be set free.  Jesus did not take sin lightly, and I will not take sin lightly. I will show my respect for you, Lord, by seeking to obey you and seeking to please you this day.

I put on my Shoes of Peace.  I thank you for the peace I have about my future home in Heaven.  I feel restful and serene when I think about the glorious place where I will spend eternity.  Jesus told us that he gives us peace.  Father God, I want to feel peace in my daily life.  I want to feel calm and content as I move through my day.  By the power of Jesus Christ, I declare that today I will grow in my ability to live in peace.

I will reject worry and fear.  I will remember to trust you  through all the circumstances of my day. I will not be moved by what I see or hear.  I will be moved by what the Bible says.  Your promises are true.  Your promises are backed by the honor of your name. 

I pick up the Helmet of Salvation.  I thank you for my eternal salvation and I thank you for saving power of Jesus Christ that daily works in my life - helping me to defeat sin and helping me to put on the love of Christ.  Thank you for renewing my mind and showing me how to defeat my wrong thoughts and wrong attitudes.  Thank you for taking me from the way I have always been to the godly way I can be through the power of Jesus Christ.

I pick up the Shield of Faith.  I will feed my faith today.  My faith will grow stronger this day.  I will meditate on your promises to take care of me.  When the enemy send fiery darts my way - in order to discourage me or get me to doubt you - I will raise my shield of faith and deflect his attacks.

My sheild is a sheild of confidence that you God are able to take care of me.  I will continue to remind myself of your faithfulness.  Lord, I will be unwavering in my devotion to you this day.

I pick up the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.  I will give voice to the Word of God today.  I will become more and more comfortable speaking out scripture.  Lord, I will remind myself that when I speak your scriptures your power is unleashed.  You have given believers words that will change the world.

Lord, I dedicate my mouth to you. I want all my words to please you.  Help me to gain greater control of my tongue.  I declare that today I will use my tongue to bless others and I will avoid strife and unneccessary conflict.  Father, as I leave this time of prayer, I am going to be a freshly focused follower of Jesus Christ!  Amen.


Prayer For The Growth Of Our Church

Our Loving Father, We believe the church is the body of Christ founded on the rock that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God.  The Scriptures says that neither he who plants and nor he who waters is anything, but only God who increases.  Relying on this promise , Father, we enter into your presence, for the Growth of our Church, Saint Rose of Lima.  As the Living Word says, "Unless the Lord builds the house.  They labor in vein who build it", we are totally helpless.  Apart from you, we can do nothing.  We beseech you, Lord, to pour out Your life-giving Spirit and Your enabling power upon the Church in an abundant measure and thus, bring about total revival in the Church.  Purge away all the sins, iniquities and uncleanness from the Church.  Let Your ears be open towards all the prayers that come to you from our Church, day and night.  May it be pleasing to you Lord, as a sweet incense before you.  Let Your Glory cover our Church.   Father God, place Your mighty outstretched hands on every Parishioner, Vounteer and Leaders of the Congregation.  Let the gift of prophecy operate in our Church Lord so that Your Word which says, "but he who prophesies edifies the Church" may be realized in our Church.  Help us to be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.  Father, let Your grace always abide.  In Jesus' most precious name, we pray. Amen.

Prayer For Depression

Lord, your love is everlasting, Your steadfast attention is daily directed towards Women and Men you love.  Your compassion is changing things in my life as prayer is being lifted up to you.
Your Word promises us that we are safe in your hand.  By faith we know that you are protecting us.
Teach me, Lord, how to receive your good gifts.
Remind me to open the Bible.  Direct me toward passages in your Word that will encourage and motivate me.
Give me strength to press through this difficult time and come to rest beside the still waters of your peaceful presence.
Lord, teach me how to pick up the sheild of faith to defend myself against the feiry dart of hopelessness and depression.
Thank you, Father, that you are moving on my behalf.  Thank you, that you are giving me revelations that will lift me out of the reach of depression.  Thank you, that you are bringing me hope and encouragement.

Marriage Prayer For A Wife

Dear Heavenly Father, You are amazing and wonderful.  Your unchanging love surrounds me and protects me. You bless me, and you bless my marriage.  Thank you for my husband.  What an impressive man he is.  You gave me the man of my dreams.  He is a mega-man, and he is mine.  Teach me to love him and value him as I should.  Show me how to be the kind of encourager that he needs.  Continually guide our hearts toward each other and toward you.  In Jesus' name I pray.  Amen 

Marriage Prayer For A Husband

Dear Lord, I just talked to the sweetest person and the prettiest lady in the whole world.  I am glowing like a lighthouse in the most wonderful part of your creation.  Lord, the wife you gave me is my treasure.  She is the most important thing in my life.  Help me keep my heart ever tender toward her and her needs.  Help me to learn how to nourish her with kindness and understanding.  Show me how to become the faithful, loyal, wise man that you created me to be.  Lord, protect and guard my marriage.  Strengthen our dedication to each other and to you.  In Jesus' name I pray.  Amen.

The Miracle Prayer

Lord Jesus, I come before you, just as I am, I am sorry for my sins, I repent of my sins, please forgive me.  In your name, I forgive all others for what they have done against me.  I renounce satan, the evil spirits and all their works.  I give you my entire self, Lord Jesus, now and forever.  I invite you into my life, Jesus.  I accept you as my Lord, God and Saviour.  Heal me, change me, strengthen me in body, soul, and spirit.
Come Lord Jesus, cover me with your precious blood, and fill me with your Holy Spirit.  I love you Lord Jesus.  I praise you Jesus.  I shall follow you everyday of my life. Amen.

Prayer for the Immaculate Queen Of Peace

Most Holy and Immaculate Virgin, Mother of Jesus and our loving Mother, being his Mother, you shared in his universal kingship.  The prophets and angels proclaimed him the King of peace.  With loving ferver in our hearts we salute and honor you as Queen of Peace.
We pray that your intercession may protect us and all people from hatred and discord, and direct our hearts into the ways of peace and justice which your son taught and exemplified.  We ask your maternal care for our Holy Father who works to reconcile the nations peace.  We seek your guidance for our Prime Minister and other leaders as they strive for world peace.

Glorious Queen of Peace, grant us peace in our hearts, harmony in our families and concord throughout the world.  Immaculate Mother, as a patroness of our beloved country, watch over us and protect us with your Motherly Love.  Amen. 

Prayer For A Priest

Lord Jesus, we your people pray to You for our Priests.  You have given them to us for our needs.  We pray for them in Their needs.
We know that you have made them priests in the likeness of your own Priesthood.  You have consecrated them, set them aside, annointed them, filled them with the Holy Spirit, appointed them to teach, to preach, to minister, to console, to forgive,and feed us with your Body and Blood.
Yet we know, too, that they are one with us and share our human weaknesses.  We know too that they are tempted to sin and discouragement, as are we, needing to be ministered to, as do we, to be consoled and forgiven, as do we.  Indeed, we thank You for choosing them from among us, so that they understand us as we understand them, suffer with us and rejoice with us, worry with us and trust with us, share our beings, our lives, our faith.
We ask that You give them this day the gift You gave Your chosen ones on the way to Emmaus:  Your presence in their hearts, Your holiness in their souls, Your joy in their spirits, And let them see You face to face in breaking of the Eucharistic Bread.

Prayer To The Virgin Mary For Priests (John Paul II)

O Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ and Mother of priests, accept this title which we bestow on you to  celebrate your motherhood and to contemplate with you the priesthood of, your Son and of your sons, O Holy Mother of God.
O Mother of Christ, to the Messiah-priest you gave a body of flesh through anointing of the Holy Spirit for the salvation of the poor and the contrite of heart; guard priests in your heart and in the Church.  O Mother of the Savior.
O Mother of Faith, you accompanied me to the Temple the Son of Man, the fullfillment of the promises given to the fathers; give to the Father of his glory the priests of your Son, O Ark of the Convenant.
O Mother of the Church, in the midst of the disciples in the upper room you prayed to the spirit for the new people and their shepherds; obtain for the Order of Catholics a full measure of gifts, O Queen of the Apostles.

A Prayer For A Priest, Special To You

O Jesus, our great High Priest, Hear my humble prayers on behalf of your priest, Father (Name).
Give him a deep faith, a bright and firm hope and a burning love which will ever increase in the course of his priestly life.
In his loneliness, comfort him.  In his sorrows, strengthen him.  In his frustrations, point out to him that it is through suffering that the soul is purified, and show him that he is needed by the church, he is needed by souls, he is needed for work of redemption.
O loving Mother Mary, Mother of Priests, take to your heart your son who is close to you because of his priestly ordination, and because of the power which he has received to carry on the work of Christ in a world which needs him so much.
Be his comfort, be his joy, be his strength, and especially help him to live and to defend the ideals of consecrated celibacy.  Amen.

The Prayer To St. Francis Of Assisi

"O Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace! Prayer For Grace From God

Oh my God, You know my weakness and failings, and that without Your help I can accomplish nothing for the good of souls, my own and others.  Grant me, therefore, the help of Your grace.  Grant it according to my particular needs this day.  Enable me to seek the task You will set before me in the daily routine of my life, and help me work hard at my appointed tasks.  Teach me to bear patiently all the trials of suffering or failure that may come to me today.  Amen.

O Lord God Almighty, who has brought to us to the beginning of this day, defend us in the same by your power; that we may not this day fall into any sin, but that all our thoughts, words, and works may be directed to the fulfillment of Your will.  Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, world without end.  Amen.

Merciful Lord, you are never weary of speaking to my poor heart.  Grant me grace that , if today I hear your voice, my heart may not be hardened.  Amen.

Prayer For The Poor

I pray for the poor, hungry and homeless people around the world.  I can't even imagine what that would be like, for I am blessed with more than enough.  Thank-you.  May we be directed to those in need to help them in anyway we can.  Help us to love live you do and spread your Words so that one day the whole world will know the truthand give you all the honor and glory that you deserve.  I have such a burning desire to serve other in your name, sweet Jesus, please use me as you will for I am yours.  Amen


Prayer For A Good Day

Dear Lord, as I arise, and bend my knee to pray.  I ask please place your guiding hand, upon this busy day.  All my yesterdays are said and done, tomarrow may never be.  But I give you full reign over this day, to make the best of me.  May each little word I speak, be filtered through your love.  May all my thoughts be connected, to the Heavenly courts above.  And use my feet to take me, to where you want me to be,  Guard my eyes that they would only, see what you want me to see.  Give me a heart that longs to show, others the way back home.  And with these two hands help me fashion glory for your throne.  From the great expanse of eternity, one day is all I can borrow.  So help me Lord to take care of today, and we'll talk again tomarrow.  Amen. 

Prayer For Couples After An Argument.

This prayer is designed to help a couple heal after an argument:

God of love, how could you put two people who are such opposites together?  One of us sqeezes the toothpaste from the end, one in the middle.  One of us leaves piles of clothes wherever they fall and the other one is tidy.  One of us can't seem to finish a project before starting another and one never wants to start anything.  One forgets things and the other one remembers everything that should be forgotten.  Living like this is impossible.

We still love each other, but liking each other is becoming more and more difficult!  Will you smoothe out our diffences?  Remind us why we are together.  Teach us to love better, to give more, to be patient and kind when its seems impossible.  Don't teach just one of us, teach us both.  Open our ears and our hearts so that we can remember our love when day-to-day things drown out our memories of those things which are truly important and eternal.

Let us disagree honestly but in a spirit of charity rather than anger or frustration.  Help us find balance point in You, oh righteous Judge.  Remind of the mercy that you have shown and motivate us to share that which we have been given.  Let the hope which lives within us melt our frozen hearts.

Let us hear Your laughter as we laugh, and when we cry, remind that we never cry alone.  When we stop holding hands, draw us back together with the memory of our vows to each other and the love we shared when we made them.

We come together asking these things in the name of Jesus, Who loved and forgave us and Who desires we be reconciled with all.  It is by His love we will be known.  In the name of love.  Amen.
